My favorites these days

My new purple lipstick.

Body oil from Sabon in Musk scent.
I absolutely love everything from this store and I was so happy when I found it in Kyoto. It's crazy expensive but this was a Christmas present from myself to myself!

Black americano at Starbucks.
It's funny because I was such a coffee snob from drinking too much excellent coffee back home that I didn't like Starbucks. But as I'm finding it hard to find excellent coffee in Japan, Starbucks is the best bet. And obviously they put some kind of drug in their coffee so I'm addicted now.

Christmas spirit: has anyone seen mine?

I've never in my life had such little Christmas spirit! It's kind of funny. I feel like this is just the one year that there's not gonna be any Christmas. Japan is full of Christmas decorations, Christmas songs and Christmas cakes but the Christmas spirit seems nowhere to be found!

But I'm not sad. I will be spending this Christmas in Sendai with my Icelandic friends. It's fun to go and see another side of Japan and I always enjoy seeing these people - and get to speak Icelandic! What a luxury!

This Christmas Godzilla is located in a shopping mall in Tokyo. I wish I had the time to see it!

Merry Christmas!

Long time, no write

Back after a wonderful weekend in Kyoto and Osaka.
Last few weeks I've been: traveling, studying, making music, exploring, eating. But I have not been blogging.

I'm sorry. Sometimes I just get too caught up in everything else.

But more too come soon. I have so much to share.

What makes me happy today

Eating Mexican food two days in a row

Watching Bridesmaids with good people

My cover being  featured on this site

Getting to try out Japanese Koto harp tomorrow

Beautiful new glittery blue over the knee socks

Having figured out how the heater in my room works

Photo challenge day 19 - Best friend

This topic is really unfair. I can't pick one. I am so lucky but at the same time I miss them all so much when looking at these photos!
One big <3

Photo challenge day 18 - Something new

New earrings. Only 300 yen. Love them.
They're my biggest earrings so far I think! Lets see if my ears handle them.

Photo challenge day 17 - Memories

I decided to pick this one as memory picture because I was actually today telling a friend of mine the story from when I shaved my head. I was 17 years.  It was such an awesome mixture of freedom, independence and "I don't give a damn what you think of me"- feeling  that I  sometimes want to do it again.

But then again, I hated the "kiwi" stage. The stage when your hair is at this awkward stage where hair products don't work because it's too short but it's just up in the air, ugly and unflattering.

It was also really interesting to see how people who don't know you treat you immensely different looking like this. Before I had had dark brown hair and glasses and was this normal, next door girl. People's attitude towards me changed so drastically I didn't even believe it.  Old woman were scared of me and thought I was some kind of rebel and many guys did only look at me to make a shocked face of disgust. And yeah, I also had one really uncomfortable and awkward moment when I met real "skinheads".

This is the best proof of how shallow people can be.

Triple fun - Day 14, 15 & 16!

Day 14 - Movement

The cutest ship that sailed by when we went to Mt. Fuji the other day. This is at Yamanako lake.

Day 15 -  Technology

Ok, I know this is not the best relation to technology, but it's kind of a boring topic anyway!  A super addicting game in a japanese arcadium - pachinko! This thing requires reeeally fast movement as you're supposed to hit the buttons when pictures appear on them. Sounds easy, but you choose song and do it in the right rhythm to the song, and believe me when I say it's fast! And too bad, I suck at it. I feel kind of ashamed though, because it's a music related game.. haha! It's really popular here, when we were playing there was a line of people waiting for the next available machine!

Day 16 - Animals

This was my dog, Sarah. She died a few months ago, almost 13 years old. We got her when I was 10 and had been dreaming for a dog for such a long time. She was a really special dog, with a bigger character than many other dogs around and I have many great memories about her <3

                                               ------------------------------------------------

I know I've not been too good with this photo challenge, but I'm getting there. The last days just have been to hectic since I got a real music software to make music, recorded a cover song and a video an did my with my first DJ - set in Shinjuku - apart from being in school and having tests!

More to come tomorrow!
